PRE & POST CARE
Get all the info you need to know about the do’s and don’ts both for your pre & post service experience!
PRE WAX:
Do’s
~Do make sure the hair is long enough to be waxed. The hair must be a quarter of an inch to a half an inch long, but whose measuring?! Usually perfect length is about 2 and a half weeks post shave. (Generally about the length of a grain of rice!)
~Do trim (with scissors, not a trimmer) if the hair is too long. Just remember if you can put it in a pony tail, it’s too long!
~Do feel free to take Advil of Ibuprofen 30-45 mins before your waxing service.
~Do double check you are not on any medication that would thin the skin.

Don’ts
~Don’t cancel your appointment just because you are on your period. If you are comfortable being waxed at this time, so are we.
POST WAX:
Do’s
~Exfoliating the waxed area will be important when the hair is beginning to grow back, but be sure to wait AT LEAST 3-4 days post waxing before exfoliating the area.
~If there is any discomfort or redness feel free to use ice or any type of calming/hydrating products.
~Enjoy your new freshly waxed area without too much touching (just to make sure oils and bacterial stay away).

~Do wear loose fitting clothing!

~No deodorants, sprays, lotions, or other products to the newly waxed area!

Don’ts
~Don’t do anything that would bring excessive heat or bacteria to the area at least 24 hours after a service. (Some examples include: working out, sex, swimming in a public pool or jacuzzi, and tanning.)
~Don’t shave in between waxing appointments. This will make the hair growth uneven and harder to wax the next service.
PRE LASHES/ FILL:
Do’s
~Arrive on time so your lash artist has the most amount of time for your full set or fill.
~Thoroughly clean your lashes the night before with a non-oil based lash shampoo, and soft bristle brush. We have a gentle, vegan lash shampoo and soft brush available for purchase if you do not have any.
~Bring headphones so you can listen to your favorite music or podcasts during your service.
~Be prepared to be laying down flat on a comfy table for the whole duration of the appointment, as full sets can take up to 2-3 hours to complete. This is the best time to take a relaxing lash nap!

Don’ts
~Try to avoid drinking caffeine prior to your service to avoid your eyes from twitching or moving throughout the application.
~Don’t come in with eye makeup, mascara, or oil based products on or around your eye area. Having dirty or oily lashes will decrease the length of time your lashes will stay on between fills.
~Don’t come in if you are experiencing any irritation in your eye area, or have an eye infection (ie: pink eye).
POST LASHES/ FILL:
Do’s
~Keep your lashes clean! We recommend washing them once a day, to keep them fresh & germ free.
~Brush them daily with a clean spooilie to keep them fluffy and neat.
~Come for fills every 2-3 weeks to keep them full!
~Sleep on your back, if you can! This is usually recommended to help your extensions last longer between fills. (You can also use a silk pillow case, since sometimes fibers from cotton pillow cases can pull on your lashes.)

Don’ts
~Avoid saunas, steam rooms, hot steamy showers, pools, and excessive sweating for at least 48 hrs after your service, or in general to preserve the life of the extensions.
~Don’t wear mascara, or any other oily makeup/ products around the eyes, including products containing glycol.
~Don’t rub your eyes aggressively or pull at them. This will cause extension loss and damage to your natural lashes.
~Don’t wear eye masks.
~Don’t remove the extensions yourself if you are wanting to have them removed. We use a safe solution here that gently removes them without damaging your natural lashes. We do not pluck, pull, or cut them off. It takes about 15 minutes and is only $20.
